Yep 3 tooth were "extracted" this morning
.. and I'm now overcoming pain through alternating Nurofen and Paracetamol
.. coz I'm a real sook ...
No salt wash until tomorrow .. and to keep the plate in overnight for a week ..
before (with crowns) ... and after (with dental plate) ...
I definitely aren't going to show them out .. even though in some countries it is Halloween ..
.. it will take a wee while for them to settle
.. and also for me to get used to this hunk of plastic in my top gums
.. and to stop the feeling of needing to gag every time I swallow ..
(OK so that was a bit exaggerated .. but hey that's OK .. and it is mostly true)
.. so weight loss might be a lot better than I think this week .. lol ..
Oh and if the top lip looks droopy .. that'll be the injection still keeping a slight hold .. thank goodness ..
I'm not going to talk about how I was driving home and the injection was wearing off .. and the pain was the nasty kind .. and how I drove straight to the nearest chemist (well the only one I could think of that would have a park outside .. and that was 5 mins across NP from where I was .. through lunchtime traffic and 3 sets of lights .. that all turned red!!!)
.. took one look at the lady .. kind of lopsided grimacing .. and telling her in a lispy kind of way .. I'd just had 3 teeth pulled and I needed strong pain relief right now .. along with a glass of water to take it right there ... and then waiting 'til I was halfway home before it had kicked in .. and that the relief was great ..
YES I AM A SOOK
.. but I didn't scream or yell in the dentist even thought the injections stung like .. well you can guess ..huh!
Oh and luckily the dentist was a bit quick handed as one of the tools slipped off while he was doing the job .. and I almost had a couple of bottom teeth out for free .. heh heh ..
Oh and just to prove they can stay in .. heh heh ..
