Farming Unit sharing day and assembly

It was a big afternoon yesterday for the boys .. Chris and I and Abbie had a picnic lunch with them ... and then it was time for the school to show us what they's learned over the past term ..

Michael was part of the farm skills relay - part of Agrikids fun unit

They had to walk together in a line (with their feet working together) .. then put up a fence with standards, put together a trough hose line, dress the adult up with safety gear, 3 of the youngest were carried in a wool sack to the end .. and the adult use the chainsaw safely to cut a piece of wood through ..

The girls won some dog whistles .. lovely ..

Then each of the classes shared their studies ..

For the boys class .. they showed theri tractors/trucks etc .. and then some read out their stories about what they had learned .. Cam read his story out ..

Then after the assembly we were invited to visit the classrooms to see the Farming Unit Activities in their classes ..
