Positive Weight Loss Ditties ....

A lady on EBB doing WW posted these .. and I lost them on my computer .. so I thought I'd put them on here so I could find them ..

Every action has a positive intention. Think about that for a moment...
It means if you eat when you are feeling stressed, you're actually trying to do something positive: relieve stress. And what is the the real need lurking behind that positive intention? You want to feel calm and in control...Right?
Have a think about the emotions you feel often eg. anger, sadness, disappointment, and ask yourself what real need they are masking.
When I feel stressed, I have chocolate. What I really want to feel is calm and in control.
When I feel insecure, I have doughnuts. What I really want to feel is confident.
When I feel sad, I have wine. What I really want to feel is happy and contented.
When I feel worried, I have lollies. What I really want to feel is assured.
When I feel angry, I have ANYTHING! What I really want to feel is calm and understanding.
When I feel like a failure, I have takeaways. What I really want to feel is successful.
When I feel hurt, I have chips. What I really want to feel is healed.
When I feel bored, I have EVERYTHING. What I really want is to feel stimulated.
When I feel frustrated, I have hot chips. What I really want to feel is in control.
When I feel trapped, I have cake. What I really want to feel is freedom.
When I feel overlooked, I have muffins. What I really want to feel is acknowledged and respected.
When I feel tired, I have whatever! What I really want to feel is fresh and relaxed.
So I am sad, tired, and worried. Chocolate is not magically going to make me happy, refreshed and carefree.

Here are some ideas to help you change negative thoughts into positive ones:
"I really hate having to do exercise"
Doing exercise I enjoy will keep me motivated.
"I can never stick to one helping"
This week I'll dish up my meal in the kitchen so that I will stick to one serving.
"Everyone is eating takeaways so why should I miss out"
I'll make sure I have enough Points saved so that I can enjoy a takeaway this week.
"No thanks! I'm not allowed it on my diet!"
Thanks very much but I am saving myself for dessert this evening
"I'll never reach goal weight"
Each week I'll focus on a different aspect of my plan as I aim to reach my goal
"No point going out, I won't enjoy myself"
It'll be great catching up with my friends, we always have a laugh.
"I look fat in this outfit"
I'm really enjoying my new shape and know that I look good too.
"I'll miss my favourite programme if I go for that walk"
I'll video it and watch it when the baby is sleeping (obviously they never met my baby!)
"I feel too uptight to stick to my diet"
I'll take time out to relax in a bath and then I'll decide what to eat.
"If my partner has one I can't resist one either"
I choose to have one tomorrow when I have planned for it.
